Frequently Asked Questions
1. My site content will not change frequently if at all, so why do I need web maintenance or a webmaster?
If you are familiar with the programs used to create your site and understand html code, Javascript, flash files, CSS, XHTML, and Search Engine Optimization and submission; have a HTML Editor, Adobe PhotoShop, Corel Paint Shop Pro, and other graphics and animation programs; and if you are familiar with domain registrations then you will not need my web maintenance services.
Designing and creating a web site requires you are skilled with and own the software on your own computer. Another reason to have web maintenance is because your designer is already familiar with the server your web site is hosted by. Just like your home PC, the server requires frequent security updates. Sometimes these updates cause the files or hosted web sites to become inaccessible or corrupt, having a personal webmaster who monitors your site daily can correct the html coding to keep your web site running smoothly. This means you don't lose valuable customers! Having a webmaster gives you the time to devote to your business and gives you peace of mind.
2. What if I'm not satisfied with my web site?
I will work to resolve all issues prior to your web site going live. If your not happy with
results, I'm not happy, therefore I will redesign as necessary until you are completely
satisfied.
3. Why do your prices vary and why have your prices increased?
Prices vary according to the size, content, and type of site you order: i.e.; e-commerce with many product pages will requires additional programming, is very time consuming and therefore will cost more. Do keep in mind that many fees for creating your website are one time fees such as; set-up fees, customized graphics and photography, price per page, etc.
As long as the overall appearance and layout remains the same, your yearly price to maintain your site is much lower than the initial start-up price to create it.
